Immigration well done…

On our day of arrival in West Palm Beach we wanted to do the immigration so that we didn't come into trouble. After having found a place where we could stay for anchorage in the bay we drove with the dinghy to a marina where we could tighten the dinghy.

We went around 10 minutes to the customs building but had to read on a sign that due to Covid 19 boaters need to go to the airport to do their clearance there! Congratulations - after having slept very little that night we had to go somewhere else! ;( We could call a Uber (taxi) which drove us to the airport. After waiting for a while an officer dealt with our concern. He was not very motivated and was glad as our request was finished. He didn't tell us anything about quarantine because of the virus and wasn't interested which country we had visited before we came to the US. We were very happy when everyone of us we had a stamp on our Visa. We went with the Uber to the next ATM because we were running out of cash and to a Walmart. Our first visit to a Walmart was like Christmas for us. First because everything was so cheap when you arrive from the Bahamas and second you have such a big variety!! We indulged ourself a lot which we hadn't had for a long period of time...

After this long day we relaxed with a Corona beer on Whitebird and were happy having managed everything.
