Stop at St. Anne

We spent 5 days in the beginning of August in the bay of St. Anne and Le Marin. It was not our favourite place to stay because there were a lot of boats on one spot. The good thing was the yacht shops in Le Marin (which is the next town to St. Anne) where Dieter bought some spareparts for Whitebird. You drive with the dinghy all the way from one bay to the other bay. A funny experience was a supermarket where you could stop your dinghy at the dock right in front of it. That made the shopping quite easy! Another advantage was going with the boat to a berth and filling up the water tanks and the diesel tank. Dieter was so happy not to carry the heavy canisters to fill the tanks with water...

Since the water was very clear we saw a lot of small fish that swam around our boat. They "cleaned" our boat from a layer of algae and other botanical things... When Claudi did the same with a spattle she was surrounded by a swarm of fish.

The main activities we did were swimming, going to the beach, SUP experience, snorkeling...

We met a French family with a 6 year old son (also called Charly ;o)) and a 5 year old daughter. Charly played with them and was quite happy to meet other children...
