Impressions on the ICW

The Intracoastal Waterway is a nice alternative route to the Atlantic ocean. It is not as fast as going on the Atlantic but you can enjoy nature -we saw a lot of dolphins on the ICW. A week full of rain…

In the 2nd week of May we had bad weather. There were a lot of thunderstorms and lightning in the night, days with heavy rainfall where we could save a lot of water for our water tanks. Expiry of our visa

Small dinosaurs ;o)

Around the corner of Great Guana Cay was located Bitter Guana Cay where we were supposed to see iguanas. The iguanas are endangered and found only on the Bahamas. At Great Guyana Cay (5th March) we stopped for provisioning and washing our clothes. The laundry had an own dinghy dock! Prolongating our visa

Very close to Cienfuegos is a "delfinarium". There live 9 dolphins (aged 24 until 29 and a baby dolphin with 2 months) next to the Caribbean Sea in a big area where it was ethical for us to pay them a visit. They can become 50 years old. Our first trip without skipper. We started our trip in Emden with destination Borsfleth (about one hour with the car north of Hamburg). We left the main Emden lock without any problems.
